Monarch park offers ESL courses from levels C to E. Most ESLC students also attend the GLS (Learning Skills) class, which gives them the extra training they need to move on to the ESLD level. A special literacy class is for those who were not successful with the provincial Literacy Test. The ESLE course represents a final important stage in the development of the students' English language skills before they join the regular English program. ESL History, Geography and Science classes, though not part of the core ESL program, are evidence of Monarch Park's commitment to ensuring English as a second language students are given the opportunity to achieve success in all subjects. Classes are complemented by outings to theatres and other places of interest.
