Application information for the Pre-Baccalaureate Program will be posted on this website during the first week of November for 2022-2023 Grade 9 entry.

Monarch Park is a limited optional attendance school for the 2022-2023 year.  This means that we are not closed to students outside of our catchment area, but not available to take all applicants from outside of our area.

HOMEWORK HANGOUT is here!

Homework Hangout is running Monday - Thursday from 2:45 - 4:30 in person in room 224 and 3:30 - 4:30 virtually.  Peer tutors will be available most days. 

To give your student the opportunity to attend, please complete the permission form. 

Your student will also be added to the Homework Hangout Brightspace page to access resources and virtual peer tutors once permission is received.

MPC LIBRARY

The school library is open before and after school. During classes, we are open in the morning on a Week One, and in the afternoon on a Week Two.

Week One hours: 8:30-11:30 2:45-3:30

Week Two hours: 8:30-9:00 12:15-3:30

Our virtual space is always available at www.mpclibrary.ca and www.instagram.com/mpc.library.

Our website features a blog, research resources, the library catalogue, and access to the TDSB Virtual Library. Our instagram features excellent student reviews of books and daily library updates.

COVID-19 Vaccination Information 
Toronto public Health - new screening tool - Sept 1, 2021

Toronto Public Health just announced it is has updated its COVID-19 student screening tool to prevent further opportunities for virus spread. The TDSB follows direction from Toronto Public Health and the new screening tool will be effective starting Tuesday, October 5, 2021

As part of this guidance, if a child has one or more new, or worsening COVID-19 symptoms, parents will now be required to:

  • Keep their child home.
  • Keep sibling and other children home, even if they do not have symptoms.
  • Arrange for the child to get tested or contact their health care provider.
  • Without testing, the child must stay home for 10 days.
  • Monitor the family for symptoms. Adults must stay home if they have one or more symptom.

  • Missing vaccines? See your doctor to get vaccinated. 
  • Meningo...what? Ask your doctor to order the meningococcal-ACYW vaccine for free from Toronto Public Health. You can also get the vaccine at a Toronto Public Health vaccination clinic. Make an appointment online: tphbookings.ca/studentvaccines

Ophea Healthy School Certification

After being audited by OPHEA staff, MPC was awarded with silver healthy school certification! This certification was the culmination of the work of Mahhik Butt who undertook this project as part of her CAS project to fulfill her IB Diploma requirements.   Thank you for all your hard work Mahhik!
